Willing to Lead
Yu Chen waved his fingers and a dragon wisp appeared from his fingertips. He directed it at them, as his lips curved into a smirk. Let’s see how they’d fare after that!
This was his ultimate move!
Upon using this, the surroundings of the person would change almost immediately. Their companions would disappear right before their eyes, and a thick fog would encapsulate their bodies.
They would be trapped.
To ordinary people, this was a top-notch array. It was impossible for them to walk out.
Yu Chen watched the group of people blur with the thick fog surrounding them. All he could hear were their shocked voices and panicked shouts.
He stayed where he was with a smirk on his face. He’d just leave them there and let them out later. Maybe that would scare them.
Otherwise, they’d be killed!
However, just as Yu Chen was about to wave the array away, he found their figures gradually appearing in the fog. He furrowed his eyebrows as their voices echoed across the forest.
He could even hear their conversation.
What was going on?
Yu Chen was stunned. He took a few steps forward, only to see a trace of burnt ashes from where he had cast his spell. His eyes narrowed.
Did they break his array?
Yu Chen glanced at the people in front of them in disbelief. After they had come out, they still had the same smile on their faces, and they appeared to be even more excited than before.
“That was fun! Is the mist real?”
Meng Yang danced around in joy, clapping his hands together.
“Of course it’s fake.” Qin Jing snorted, unimpressed. “Can’t you see that you’re still standing where you were? It’s not like the fog would just disappear.”
Cheng Yan glanced at Yu Chen with a smile. “You just said that we won’t regret anything right? The wind’s too strong, so I wasn’t able to hear clearly.”
Yu Chen lowered his head in humiliation.
This was his ultimate move!
Moreover, there were no elderly people on the other side, so the person who had solved it must be one of them. This meant that the person’s talent was extremely high for them to break through his power.
He shook his head.
“I said something about showing the scenery here,” Yu Chen was quick to explain, smiling up at them. “I’ll make sure that you wouldn’t regret coming here, that’s for sure.”
“Tell me,” he said quickly. “Where do you want to go? I’ll lead the way.”
He wasn’t a coward. At this point, he was just trying to save his life.
The forest was his territory, to begin with, not to mention, he had already used his ultimate killing technique. This showed that they were so much more powerful than him.
Looking at the other party’s ages, it was possible that one of them was a master.
How could he afford to offend them?
Yu Chen sighed in his heart. He was going back anyway. Nothing should happen if he just led the way.
With this thought in mind, he continued walking forward.
Lin Xin saw him sighing and a smile slipped into her lips. “This person…is he intellectually challenged? He’s always so flustered,” she said under her breath.
Although his voice was soft, everyone heard it clearly.
“I think so too.”
Yu Chen gritted his teeth, but he kept his cool. This little girl really was something else! The first time he met her, he thought she was innocent. But it seemed that she was the complete opposite!
He had fallen for her disguise!
No wonder his masters had always told him not to trust women.
“Sister Tang, why should we follow him then? He’s too unreliable,” Lin Xin murmured.
When Yu Chen heard this, he scowled.
“It’s troublesome to find our own way back. Besides, he’s a free guide. It would be a waste if we don’t use him, right?”
Moreover, she was familiar with him.
She had dealt with Yu Chen before.
Lin Xin slowly nodded. It was better to have someone to guide them.
